You should be feeling very comfortable and drowsy when we wheel you into the O-R. If you feel at all chilly, let us know and we'll get you a freshly warmed blanket.

The nurse will have you slide over onto the operating table. Once you're on the table, the anesthetist will put several sticky pads on your shoulders and back to monitor your heart. We'll also put a blood pressure cuff on your arm and a small clip that looks like a clothespin on your finger. This clip monitors your body's oxygen levels.

We'll be careful to keep you covered up and warm during your procedure. Our staff is very professional and they treat each patient with dignity.

Everything will be in place to help ensure a successful procedure. You'll be in the recovery room before you know it!
